Melanie has spent the past 15 years focused on marketing and events for mobile brands. Starting with distribution, she managed mobile reseller marketing programs at Ingram Micro Australia for brands such as Palm, Vodafone, and BlackBerry. Once back in Canada, she moved into the wireless carrier world. While at Rogers, she managed the brand's online community and influencer program growing the Rogers technical community and brand preference. Moving to BlackBerry HQ, Melanie led global social media across B2B, dev and consumer channels with a focus on bridging the online world with offline experiences. For the past couple of years, Melanie has focused on event management and how social media can influence and drive community growth and attendee engagement.
