KPIs That Matter Most in Developer Relations
Time is money—especially when it comes to developer relations programs. In our recent Developer Relations Programs Survey, 38% of developers identify "time saved" as the most important Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for their program memberships.
Why is this critical? Developer programs that save time help reduce labor costs and accelerate time-to-market, ultimately driving revenue growth. Developers also view "reduced costs" as a top KPI (33%), which includes both cutting development expenses and minimizing the need for tech support. Faster issue resolution also ties back to this efficiency.
Interestingly, KPIs related to app approval and support resolution time rank high as well, showing that swift, seamless interactions are vital for maintaining engagement and satisfaction.
As companies supporting developers, understanding these KPIs can help fine-tune your approach to offering value in your developer programs. By prioritizing time savings and cost reduction, you not only improve the experience but also strengthen your ROI.
What KPIs do you prioritize in your developer programs? How do you measure success in supporting developer communities?
