Evans Data Corporation announced today the winners of its 2007 Annual Developer Marketing Patterns Survey Awards. Over 400 developers picked Dr. Dobb’s Journal as "Best Print Magazine to Learn About Tools". Programmer's Paradise topped the list for "Best Online Selection of Tools", Microsoft won "Best Website for Information on Tools & New Technology", and Sun Microsystems took first for "Best Website to Learn About Java".

Other findings from this survey of over 400 developers conducted in January, 2007 include:
- Over half of the developers surveyed indicated that they participate in Google Groups.
- Nearly all developers surveyed subscribe to at least one online newsletter and over half of them subscribe to more than 5 online newsletters.
- Nearly three quarters of the developers surveyed have attended a webinar during the last year – the most common motivators for attending were: “as a tutorial for a new technology†or “to learn more about a particular development solutionâ€
